A New Bee Emerging….

It would have been Tom’s 34th birthday yesterday. I lost him 6 years ago and these anniversaries are painful and exhausting to bear and it doesn’t get any easier. The first year it was smack during lockdown and I found myself painting bees which were of huge significance to him and that started my creative journey of taking up painting again.

Yesterday I had a game plan, quiet meditation and reflection, walking in the countryside, making his vegan birthday cake and painting a new bee. I am feeling that he is quietly with me on this journey and although not finished, feeling happy with the result…. a new card in the making!
